Become an architect or interior designer

From master-planning city areas to designing landscapes, buildings, interiors and furniture, our architecture and interior design degree courses will give you the skills and expertise to design for London and beyond. You’ll be equipped to work in both commercial and socially engaged aspects of ever-changing built and spatial environments.

Our architecture and interior design students are taught in The Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design (The Cass), where you’ll have access to your own studio space and be inspired by world-class architects and designers, while also having the opportunity to work on live projects and exhibit your work across the capital.

Our architecture graduates often go on to complete their RIBA Part 2 and 3, allowing them to register as an architect. However, many of our other architecture graduates go on to join a wide range of creative professions. Our interiors graduates mainly go on to to work within the interiors industry but a large number also work within the film and illustration industries.

We have graduates who are interior designers working at the highest level globally within interior and architectural practices and graduates changing perceptions working on Italy’s first ever Starbucks, as furniture designers for high-profile clients such as Jimmy Choo and as entrepreneurs.

“At London Met you are given so many opportunities to showcase your work to expose you to industry professionals. This contributes enormously to helping you launch your career.”

Nikol Pechova – Interior Architecture BA graduate who now works as an architectural designer at a New York architecture practice specialising in designing high-rise buildings, retail structures and multi-use complexes.
