Our work in sciences reaches out to the arts, humanities and social sciences – some of our arts research is centrally concerned with aspects of science and technology. Ageing, artificial intelligence, race and education, social behaviour and the application of research to pressing societal issues are just some examples of themes that connect us.
As well as our subject-based centres of research, we promote a number of groups and forums that bring our researchers together to develop these connections.
Interdisciplinary Research Forum
This forum builds on a wide range of research activities at the University. It aims to explore common areas of interest that cut across narrow disciplinary, professional and geographical interests, in turn laying the foundations for productive dialogue, exchange and cooperation. The forum invites academic participants and doctoral students from across the University, as well as bringing in external collaborators.
